A SPECIAL nativity festival will be held in the parish church of St John's, Horrabridge, from Saturday, November 29 to Sunday, December 7.

The event has been planned as a way of bringing the village community together and to show the beauty of the church itself.

The displays have been created by village organisations, local churches and individuals and will be in a variety of mediums, not only flowers but also fabric, wood, ceramics, paper and so on. Refreshments will be available.

Entry by donation to church funds.

The church will be open for viewing from 10am to 4.30pm each day (from 12pm on Sundays) with an extension until 7pm on Thursday and Friday.

On the final Sunday the festival will close with a half-hour carol service at 4.30pm followed by mulled wine and mince pies.
