MARY Tavy is hosting its annual Country Fayre this Saturday.

The event is a joint venture this year by the Coronation Hall committee and the Victory Memorial Ground Committee lead by Melanie Baldry and Bob Hines.

This is the first time the two village groups have worked together and it is anticipated that further joint ventures will follow. The event starts at 1pm and will be opened by Tavistock athlete Adam Holland. Among the attractions are a family dog show, beer tent, bouncy castle, pets corner and a raffle with first prize of £100.

Proceeds will support maintenance and improvements to the playing fields and village hall.
