A FABULOUS fashion show will be held in Tavistock next month, to raise funds for a national children's charity.
The show, which will benefit Well Child UK, is being organised by Gail Downham on behalf of two Tavistock women, Sophie Birch and Zoe West.
Sophie, 30, and Zoe, 35, are both running the London Marathon to raise funds for Well Child.
The charity supports seriously ill children and their families. Sophie chose to run the marathon for Well Child after the grandson of her grandmother's closest friend was diagnosed with cancer.
Sophie, a primary school teacher, said: 'I want to raise as much as I can for Well Child, to help more children like Jack and their families through extremely difficult times.'
Sophie's friend Zoe, a hairdresser and mother of two, is supporting Sophie by running the marathon as well.
Sohie said: 'We have had some challenging and painful runs in the last year. This time last year we were running three miles in about an hour and complaining all the way — we are now completing 18 miles in about two and-a-half hours and only complain a little!'
The fashion show will be held on Thursday, April 12 in Tavistock Town Hall, beginning at 7.30pm.
There will be a great range on show — businesses taking part include Seirens Lingerie, Fat Face, New Look Madison's Vintage, Me hairdressing and Shot in the Dark entertainment.
Tickets, £7.50 to include a glass of wine or soft drink, are available from Seirens, New Look, Madison's Vintage and Me and can be bought on the door.
