EXTRA funding for a West Devon farm support project means the group can now cover the whole of the borough instead of only certain parishes.
Agri-BIP, based at Sticklepath, and supported by local authorities and EU funding, offers free help and advice to farm businesses.
Stewart Horne, Agri-BIP manager, said: 'This is great news for local farmers.
'Up to now, there have been some parishes in the borough that we were not funded to work in. This has changed because the South West of England Rural Development Agency now funds us.'
Mr Horne said Agri-BIP would now be particularly pleased to hear from farmers in South Tawton, Spreyton, Drewsteignton, Bondleigh, Broadwoodkelly, Iddesleigh, Monkokehampton or Meeth — parishes not covered by the service until now.
'The days of going it alone are over,' said Mr Horne. 'We can assist farmers develop other areas of income.
'Many farmers are now looking at processing or selling their produce in some way to take advantage of the huge price difference that exists between the farm gate and in the shops.'
Agri-BIP can help source all types of farming information, help with marketing, check on grant availability and assist with farm business plans.
