YEARS 3, 4 and 5 at Delaware Community Primary School celebrated the success of a term's rehearsing, singing, dancing and performing of their recent pantomime 'Aladdin Trouble' by Out of the Ark productions.

A cast and crew of more than 60 children participated in the staging of the production. Every child from Year 3, 4 and 5 was involved either on or off stage. The children all had the opportunity to perform and and the process gave them the chance to experience something new.

Class teacher and director Jo Davie said: 'During the production we have seen children grow in confidence as they developed their characters and, in some cases, even sang solos. It has been a fantastic opportunity for staff and children alike to discover new interests and previously hidden talents.

'As a school we are all incredibly proud of the children's achievements on a personal as well as performance level. We have seen children blossom in the lead roles and others achieving enormous personal successes just by performing on the stage.'

Performing to their families on the night, the children received a standing ovation and the Friends of Delaware Facebook page buzzed with positive feedback.
