EVERY Tuesday in August, families have been enjoying a whole range of activities at South West Lakes Trust’s family drop in sessions at Burrator Reservoir.
Finding frogs and toads and making insect homes were the tasks which took place during the first session. Mini shelter building for muddy ball blobsters was a huge success with family members, large and small, equally absorbed in their creations. There was even a shelter with a sun terrace and umbrella!
Last week (16 August) the Trust held a ‘Blobster Olympics’ when the challenge was to make and race a mini land raft for their muddy ball friends. Everyone used a bow saw and drill to create their own Olympic medals to celebrate their achievements.
