IN the Okehampton Netball League, newly promoted Phoenix continue to play excellent netball and the final sore often does not reflect the game. Falcons worked hard to contain Phoenix however excellent shooting from Jo Luxton meant that Falcons stormed ahead to win 68-19.

Dodgers faired better this week with the return of Helena Peters. Magpies also had great shooting from Kerri Yates but Dodgers held on to win 54-38. In the second division Bradford Belles and Tanix had a close match resulting in a draw of 23-23. Belles did well as for 3/4 of the match they only had six players.

In the third division Toucans were beaten by Falcon Juniors. The more experienced Toucans came unstuck against the young legs of Falcon Juniors, and the great shooting of Jasmine Vallance. Final score — Falcon Juniors 41, Toucans 25.

Results October 12: Most of the games this week were very close and the teams seemed evenly matched. In the third division new team Bluebirds were trailing in, but fought back and only lost by one goal at the final whistle. Final score - Maltesers 29 Bluebirds 28.
