I WOULD like to draw your attention to the exhibition of a complete lack of scruples by a member of the older generation and who is probably the first to complain about the youth of today!

Last Thursday I was withdrawing £10 from a cash machine in town and because of a total lapse in concentration, stupidly, I forgot to take the money. Whilst I admit that the loss is entirely my own fault, I just cannot believe that the gentleman behind me did not (a) call after me to alert me to the fact that I had not taken my money or (b) hand the cash into the bank.

What incenses me the most is not the loss of the money, as I could have dropped it in the street, but the fact that the person behind me in the cash machine queue obviously knew it was mine and blatantly failed to do the honest thing.

Incidentally, I did check with the bank and the cash was drawn out and not drawn back in by the machine.
