THE NORTHMOOR Team of Churches held its flower festival at St Bridget’s Church Bridestowe last week over three days from Friday to Sunday.

Despite the drizzly weather there was a good turnout and this year the theme was the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Arrangers lived up to the challenge with displays reflecting periods of her life. There was also refreshments and a cake stall. Children from Bridestowe School also attended to see the beautiful displays.

The festival culminated in a special service at the church on the Sunday.

It was certainly a successful event as nearly £1,100 was raised.

Organiser Diane Brook said: ‘It was an amazing festival, the church was buzzing.’
