I WOULD like to thank A Lewis for the recent letter (December 13) highlighting the problems caused by dog mess on the pavement.

We will be carrying out extra checks in the Parkwood Road area of Tavistock as a result, and will take enforcement action against irresponsible dog owners where necessary.
