AN event will be held in Bedford Square, Tavistock, this Saturday, in celebration of World Gratitude Day.

The event, starting at noon, invites people to show their gratitude for things such as clean air and water, and relative peace in the land. Organisers feel that by putting attention to what is good, there is more opportunity to create positive changes in the world.

The following day is Autumn Equinox, and a ceremony will be held where visitors will be able to write expressions of gratitude, prayers and intentions and hang them on a tree, which will be placed on the Sacred Fire.
