A DARTMOOR National Park Authority Ranger will be among the experts on hand to offer advice and information when the West Devon Connect roadshow heads out around the borough this October. Ranger Rob Taylor will be at Hatherleigh Market on Tuesday, October 7 talking to people about all that Dartmoor has to offer from gentle moorland walks to more adventurous activities like climbing. The West Devon Connect roadshow is co-ordinated by West Devon Borough Council and regularly tours the area offering free information about a range of council, public and support services. Everyone is welcome. On Friday, October 24, the roadshow will be in Chagford where a planning officer from Dartmoor National Park Authority will be available to speak to people about the town's masterplan, which aims to provide new affordable housing, accommodation for older people, a new car park and employment land. Among the other organisations joining the roadshow at various locations next month (October) are Citizens' Advice Bureau (CAB) and Action on Hearing Loss. Every session is hosted by an advisor from the borough council who can deal with all sorts of queries about council services including benefits, council tax and recycling. The roadshow dates are: The Burrow Café, Exbourne, on October 3 from 10am to noon; Hatherleigh Market on October 7 from 9.30am to noon with DNPA ranger Rob Taylor and CAB; Spreyton Village Hall on October 7 from 2pm to 3.30pm with CAB; Chagford Library on October 10 from 10.30am to 12.30pm; Hatherleigh Market on October 21 from 9.30am to noon with Action on Hearing Loss and CAB; Chagford Library on October 24 from 10.30am to 12.30pm with a DNPA planning officer.
