NORTH Tawton is to get a special visit this month from the West Devon Connect Service, which brings advice and information about public services to rural communities.
The roadshow, co-ordinated by West Devon Borough Council, will be in The Square between 10am and 1pm on Monday, August 20.
Advisors will have information about changes to the council tax benefit system, which could affect around 2,300 households across West Devon.
They will also be on hand to help residents get involved in a consultation about how they wish the borough council to spend a shrinking pot of money when they implement their own scheme to replace council tax benefit, after its abolition by Central Government next April.
The roadshow will feature the Love Food Hate Waste campaign, which helps people save money by cutting down on the amount of food they throw away.
There will be practical advice on how to make the most of the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables around at this time of the year. Residents can also ask questions about the borough council's recycling service.
In addition, people will be able to get information about a wide range of public services and voluntary organisations.
