I AM a local cook, trained and qualified to standard. I have experienced food at local pubs and restaurants and do not consider the food to be poor ? in fact quite the opposite.

Please Mr Steed (Letters, July 29), in future complain to the establishment concerned or see your local environmental health officer, if there are food safety concerns.
