MORE than 60 images of the most treasured parts of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) will go on display in a special exhibition at the Tamar Valley Centre from December 2 to December 11.

As part of this year’s celebrations to mark 20 years since the Tamar Valley was designated as an AONB, local residents were invited to submit photographs of their favourite spots within the valley, for a chance to win a ‘Cornish Welcome Tour’ of their choice, courtesy of John Marshall, chair of the Tamar Valley Tourism Association.

The exhibition, organised by the AONB’s Helping Hands for Heritage project, will showcase the many hidden treasures this landscape has to offer and celebrate its variety.

The exhibition will be open from Monday to Friday, 11am to 4pm. Visitors are welcome to bring photographs along on the day — they will not be entered into the competition, but it will add to the range of special shots from throughout the valley. The winner will be announced at a special evening opening on Friday, December 11. The photographs will be judged by local photographer Sarah Marshall.
