DESPITE the appalling weather, entries at Lewdown flower and produce show were of a high standard. The judges were impressed by the quality and quantity of exhibits, and praised the hard work put into gardening with the weather this year. They also praised the quilting, floral art displays and children?s entries. Bryan Wonnacott, show president, thanked all the exhibitors, judges and those who worked behind the scenes of the show to make it such a success. Bryan added he was delighted with the exceptional number of children entering the show, not only in their own classes, but in the adult classes as well. With the number of children taking part in the show rising each year, it boded well for the future of the event, said Bryan.
