OKEHAMPTON Golf Club on Saturday held the club championship.

Conditions were difficult but Kevin Cornwall had two excellent rounds of gross 69 in the morning followed by a gross 71 in the afternoon, to win the championship by 7 shots.

Results ? club championship, 1st, K Cornwall, gross 69 and 71, total 140 off h/cap 4; 2nd J Mansell, gross 73 and 74, total 147, off h/cap 4; 3rd, J Haslem, gross 74 and 74, total 148, h/cap 6.

Result: Hutchings cup net medal: 1st K Cornwall, net 65, 67, total 132, winning on countback; 2nd, R Wooldridge, net 62, 70, total 132 on countback; 3rd, N Reilly, net 60, 72, total 132.

The Leonard tankard was won by J Butcher, gross 78 and 84.

The 18-hole Stuart Wilson trophy was won by J Weller, gross 82, net 62, h/cap 21; 2nd A Rice, gross 94, net 66, h/cap 28 winning on last 9; 3rd S Sanders, gross 87, net 66, h/cap 21, winning on last 9.
