WHILST on holiday at Okehampton last week I had the misfortune to suffer with a trapped nerve in my neck.

This required medical attention and I felt quite concerned at the prospect, being far from my usual doctor.

However, there was no cause to be alarmed because I received excellent attention and help from the local medical service.

I read so much criticism of the NHS in my local press these days that I feel obliged to ask you to publish this letter conveying my appreciation for the prompt, caring and excellent service I received.

The people of Okehampton and district are indeed fortunate to enjoy such a worthy health centre.

Thank you to all the staff.
