MORE than 100 Year 4 children from 10 Primary schools in the Tavistock area took part in a special event at the town?s tennis club last Thursday aimed at boosting their racquet skills. The Top Link festival was organised by Tavistock college students Lucy Lane, Izzy de Carlos, Luke Wakeham and Matt Morgan. They were assisted on the day by 11 other Year 10 students. The group were helped in their organisation and management of the day by Tric Locker, Tavistock School sport co-ordinator. The children all enjoyed the day and were particularly excited to ?have a go? on the mobile squash wall provided by the England squash association. Tric said ?The aim was to get as many children involved as possible and the college students did a brilliant job not only encouraging and helping individual children but also challenging them to achieve more while still focusing on the fun element.?
