THANK you to everyone who supported us over the weekend, it was another successful year for The Royal Oak Inn, Meavy, 2014 Wild Food Barbecue, Real Ale and Cider Festival — even the Honey Monster made an appearance. We had a great Saturday night in the bar being entertained by Strings Attached, washed down with some great real ale and local cider. Everyone enjoyed the exotic bur-gers with kangaroo, alpaca and camel selling out and also some fantastic local beef burgers supplied by Howells of Tavistock. The weather was kind over the weekend but as predicted rain arrived on Monday. We still had a great turnout, who were entertained with a BBC film made in 1963 of The Royal Oak Inn.
