Tavistock U15s 39 Exeter Saracens U15s 10 Although Dan Oner ran in four tries, this was very much a team performance with all the Tavistock players, through their ball handling, distribution and tackling, making excellent contributions throughout the match. Mark Friend scored Tavistock's first try with a weaving run through the Saracen defence. Soon after, Tom Rickard fed Dan Oner whose chip, chase and pick up saw him outstrip the defence to score under the posts. Josh Stephens duly converted. The home team stood firm against some strong Saracens play, however they finally found a way through and drove over for a try. The next try came when Tavistock won a lineout and after a forward drive the ball was fed across the pitch for Oner to score in the corner. Their fourth try resulted from a tap penalty 15 metres out which saw Tom Thursby go over. Following a lineout, an excellent cross field kick by fly half Phil Snell saw Oner chase and gather for another try. Saracens hit back with another try following a drive. From the restart Tavistock's backs chased down the Saracen defence to gain possession which resulted in Oner going over for his fourth try - which Tom Simmons duly converted. Tavistocks final try resulted from a loose ball on halfway being hacked through by Rickard which the chasing backs managed to secure for Jack Bond to go over for his first Tavistock try.
