THE Friends of Okehampton Library will be holding a number of Christmas events next month.

A wine and cheese party will take place on Wednesday, December 9 at 7pm at Okehampton Library.

Tickets will be available from the library and cost £4, which will include refreshments, entertainment by the Ockment Singers and Christmas readings.

A Christmas coffee morning will be held on Friday, December 11 from 10am to noon at the library. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy a coffee and cake, which will cost £1.

The library is also holding a Christmas quiz. Quiz sheets are available at the library from Tuesday, December 1.

Entry costs £1 and the winner will receive a Waitrose shopping voucher. Entries are to be returned to the library by Saturday, January 2 2010.

The Friends of Okehampton Library expressed thanks to everyone who has supported them during 2009.
