TOM and Barbara Brown's performance of traditional songs and stories with archive film, 'This Farming Life' comes to Peter Tavy this month.  Tom and Barbara use familiar, and not so familiar, traditional songs to illustrate archive film footage from the South West. Their rich voices harmonise wonderfully and are blended seamlessly with anecdotes and stories and there is plenty of opportunity for people to join in.     With an instant rapport, and Tom and Barbara's relaxed style, each piece of film and music is introduced  with witty asides .  It is a fascinating look at traditions, some of which survive to this day in Devon's rural communities.  Some film footage is from the 1920s and some of the songs are modern such as 'Bampton Fair', composed by Paul Wilson of Okehampton based Wren Music.   They will be at Peter Tavy Village Hall on Saturday February 16 at 7.30, tickets £5/£4/£14 from Dawn 01822 810552.
