Crediton IIIs 13 North Okes 23 THIS was North Oaks first game of the season and looked from the start to be one of their hardest, against a Crediton team featuring several ex-1st team players. Crediton started well and seemed to be having the lion?s share of penalties and from one of these got three points. From the re-start North Okes hit right back ? they took good line-out ball on the 22 yard line and drove Crediton back for Max Sampson to dive over. Evan Rees converted. Just before half time good back play and quick hands from Colin Ewen put Lee Pengelly in the corner, 6-12 at the break. In the second half North Oaks raised their game, so it was no surprise when they won a penalty which Rees slotted over. Crediton kicked a penalty to keep them in the game, before Lee Pengelly went over to bag a well deserved brace. To finish on a high Evan Rees stroked a great drop-goal over to put the icing on the cake, before Crediton scored a consolation try right at the death.
