A REPORT on the back page of last week?s Times referred to a series of junction improvements on the A386 between Roborough and Yelverton. The report stated that Devon County Council had liaised with Dartmoor National Park, the police, Buckland Monachorum Parish Council, various cycling groups and other interested parties on the design of the scheme. The information submitted to the Times failed to mention the landowner, Maristow Estate. We have been asked to point out that the estate?s negotiations, involvement, assistance and agreement were fundamental in the scheme proceeding within the timescale suggested by the county council.
