THE annual Lewdown flower and produce show was held on August 28 at the Victory Hall.

Show president Brian Wonnacott welcomed everyone and praised the entrants for the quantity and quality of the entries.

He made special mention of the children's classes, which saw 73 entries overall in all age groups.

Mr Wonnacott thanked all who had given so much time to make the show such a success.

Floral exhibits were a delight, children's entries were of high quality, and bode well for the future of the show.

Water colour painting and pencil drawn sketches were of exceptional standard

The best in show prize was awarded to Mrs Kay Roberts for her water colour of a boy on a seat, which won acclaim from the judges and public alike, for its intricate detail.

Prizes were presented by Roy Stacey, hall chairman, Liz Metherall and Nicki Nash.
