THE 27th annual Kelly and Bradstone Flower Show was held in Meadwell Hall, Kelly, on Saturday August 16.
Despite the atrocious weather the exhibits were of a high standard, although the number of entries was slightly down.
The prizes were presented by David Macdonald, of Glenvale Nurseries of Lifton, who was presented with a buttonhole by Lauren Sarkar. Francesca Sarkar presented a posy to Mrs Macdonald.
Chairman Ray Brewer thanked Mr Macdonald for presenting the prizes, and Christine Young, secretary, and her committee for arranging the event.

Cups — Most points in show, Pat Brewer; WI trophy, Pat Brewer; Michael Kelly Trophy, Christine Young; Stephen Gynn Trophy, Gladys Bradshaw; Floral Art Perpetual Cup, Pat Brewer; Cookery Cup, Pat Brewer; Pat Gynn Cup for children, Angus Heyward; Bill Hailstone for veg, Christine Young.
A profit of just over £20 was made for hall funds.
