THERE is scope for plenty of artistic licence for Tavistock Carnival entrants this year, as the town?s Lions Club has just released the theme for the summer?s big event.
The carnival procession on Saturday July 17 will be on the theme of pastime and leisure activities.
Lion Roger Lethbridge said: ?The Lions are hoping that this year?s theme will encourage all the clubs and leisure groups in the area, as well as the schools, to enter the procession, either with a float or as a walking entry.?
Roger also suggested that small groups might even like to combine with others with similar interests ? the more entries, the merrier!
Lorries of various sizes will be available for float entries from three different local companies.
