ALL Out Performing Arts Summer School starts at the end of July — for two weeks young people from West Devon and beyond will work with professional performing arts writers and practitioners, and take to the stage acting, singing and dancing in original music theatre shows.
The All Out team will also be celebrating their 19th summer school in West Devon and will be remembering the hundreds of people who have taken part over the years.
Julian Barnicoat, artistic director for the Tavistock-based company, said: 'It's a testimony to summer school success when we see veterans coming along year after year to help out and now, even bringing their children to take part.'
Julian feels this year will be a special challenge: '2012 saw two of the strongest summer school shows we have ever staged, especially the seniors in the second week with The Wedding Show.
'We were amazed at the quality of performance from an exceptionally able cast — even now people are dtill talking about it, singing the songs and wondering what we can come up with this year. That's always a challenge, so can we beat it? Yes!'
Summer school runs at the Coronation Hall in Mary Tavy and places are still available.
All Out is keen to stress that everyone is welcome from absolute beginners to those more experienced.
Week one for juniors, aged seven to 12, runs from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2, and week two for seniors aged 12 and upwards runs from Monday, August 5 to Friday, August 9.
