AT Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday a large field contested the 'Turkey Trot' individual Stableford over a reduced course of 15 holes.

The winner of division one was Andy Shapland with 36 points; second on 32 was Mike Hern on the back six from Alan Hough.

Division two was won by Paul MacDonald with 37pts from Ken Peckham, in second place, with 35; third was Nick Hobbs with 34.

Division three was won by Dave Lawson with 33pts; second was Kevin Harding with 30, while third on countback over the last six, was Jack Cornwall also with 30.

On Sunday there was a four ball better ball competition played over the full course, also for turkey prizes, and the winning pair were Martin Cox and Dennis Edwards with 42 pts. Second were Paul Skidmore and Richard Reid, also with 42, but losing it on the back nine.

The winners of division one were Roger Slee and Ken Peckham with a creditable 46 points; second were Mike Hern and Nick Waldron with 45 and third were Martin O'Connor and Lee Pengelly with 43.

Division two was won by Pete Grimley and Terry Steer with 46 points; second were Alan Dunn and Alan Jeffery with 45 on the back nine from third, Alan and Lewis Parry.
