THEY'RE back — Cathie Stewart and Brian Noakes who are the popular duo Canadian Suite make a welcome return to the Wharf, Tavistock on Sunday, October 6.
This is a must for all Country music lovers. Cathie and Brian first met in the wilds of Ukon, Canada in 1988. Cathie is familiar to UK audiences as the co-host of the popular internationally syndicated George Hamilton IV television show in the mid-70s. Born in Athabasca, Alberta, Brian's family are from Bexhill-on-Sea — making him a citizen of both Canada and Great Britain.
A versatile musician, he plays drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and sings.
The 'All Canadian Show' was warmly received at the Wharf this past September and Cathie and Brian return with their good friend John Stannard, a superb guitarist who has accompanied numerous international and British artistes both on stage and in the recording studio.
The concert promises to be an evening of 'Canadiana' — celebrating the song-writing talents of many of Canada's most popular and most timeless artists such as Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Stan Rogers.
Cathie and Brian will also be introducing some self-penned songs from their all original 'Two Steps Loose'.
