CELEBRATION is the theme of the final set of theatre skills workshops run by the Tavonians, Tavistock's amateur theatre company, this weekend.  

The workshops start tonight (Thursday) with 'Playing for laughs', a session on comedy. Friday's workshop is on 'Props that perform'. Both are at 7.30pm in Tavistock Guide Hall, Canal Road.  

The series concludes on Saturday March 19 with a double workshop at the United Reformed Church Hall in Russell Street. Starting at 10am, this will prepare a 'Play in a day', to which participants can invite family and friends at 4.30pm.
