MORWELLHAM Quay near Tavistock is to stage a special showcase performance of one of the South West's up and coming bands this weekend.

After hosting Bombay Bicycle Club in early July, Quayside Live on Saturday August 29 will be the next in what is starting to become a string of intimate gigs, when Adam Isaac performs in the old barn that once stored manganese and arsenic from the Tamar Valley, ready to be shipped to the rest of the world.

Adam Isaac's energy and charisma on stage is being backed by a session band that will set the barn alive. This year Adam has supported Joss Stone and Sandi Thom on tour and has recently been producing an album under contract at Mama Stones Music Academy.

With a special guest band yet to be announced, bargain hunters should keep an eye out on the Facebook page and website to obtain one of the limited early bird tickets at £5.

Support will come from Tavistock musician Rory Gilmore, who under contract with Pigeon Hole Productions will open this new music event with style and passion. Doors open at 7.30pm.
