Mount House School's Emma Manton has been awarded a sport scholarship and academic exhibition to Millfield.

Emma represented the school at first team level in all team sports a year early. Last term she captained the hockey first VII and was awarded her colours as well as playing hockey with the Devon U14 squad. She has competed at the highest levels, in javelin, long jump and triple jump at the Prep Schools National Championships.

Out of school Emma is involved in the equestrian world and is a keen and successful competitor, winning many rosettes at regional level and being placed 21st in the National Novice Eventing Champions. She is also an enthusiastic member of Spooners and West Dartmoor Pony Club. Cricket is another favourite sport and Emma has represented both West Devon and Whitchurch.
