TAVISTOCK triathlete Emily Attfield continued her winning streak with another first place in the Yate Tristars event at Westonbirt School, Gloucestershire.
A fast 300m swim saw Emily. aged 12, and one other competitor establish a lead.
Emily could not quite match her rival's pace in the 6km cycle section and was 40 seconds behind at the start of the 2.4km run. Pulling out all the stops Emily caught and passed the leader with 1km to go and forged ahead to win by 54 seconds in an overall time of 31 mins 15 sec.
Emily is a member of Okehampton Cycling Club, TAC and is sponsored by Certini Cycles of Saltash.
