AN election will be held in Chagford to decide who will succeed the popular and long-serving Peter Hill as the area?s representative on West Devon Borough Council. Cllr Hill, who represented Chagford for almost 50 years, died last month. People who wish to stand have until midday on Thursday, August 17, to get their nomination papers in. Forms can be collected from the council?s Okehampton and Tavistock offices. The election will be on Thursday, September 14.
