AN 80-year-old man was taken to Derriford Hospital after he was struck by a car in Dolvin Road, Tavistock on Wednesday, September 1.
His injuries, initially thought to be life threatening because of a blow to the head, amounted to severe bruising and lacerations.
The driver of the car, a 21-year-old woman from Plymouth, was not injured in the accident.
