THE sun was blazing for Princetown Primary School sports day last week as a good turn out of parents and students took part in various events.
Traditional egg and spoon races were played as well as long jumps, a water race and a steeple race which took place in fancy dress.
Many parents also competed in the egg and spoon race much to the delight of the children, there was a great atmosphere to the day with team River Dart taking the overall prize which was received by Callum and Angel.
Teacher Gemma Harris from class three organised the event and there was also a Fairtrade cafe run by the school for refreshments.
