A FAIRTRADE Easter egg that tells children the story of Easter will be available at the Okehampton Farmers' Market on March 17.
Made by the Meaningful Chocolate Company, the Real Easter Egg has a cartoon telling the Easter story on the box. A charity donation is made for each egg sold.
The egg is being sold by JUST LIVING, a charitable Christian group linked to Christian Aid, which seeks to promote issues of justice on behalf of the poorest of the world.
The group will also be selling Fairtrade bake-your-own hot cross bun kits. The kits contain fairtrade fruit, sugar and spices, and a card that explains the history and meaning of the hot cross bun.
