THE two teams from Okehampton Primary School claimed first and second place in the recent Rotary Club Primary Schools Quiz.

The school has won the contest before, but this is the first time it has secured first and second place. Teams from across the area gathered for the final having already made it through heats.

Year Six teacher Alison Armstrong said: ‘Congratulations to all who took part. The camaraderie amongst the team members and across the teams was really special to see. Huge thanks must go to all the competitors for their hard work in preparing for the event and for a very exciting evening.

‘We have been fortunate to win in the past but to achieve first and second places was ‘a first’ for the school and we are very proud of the children.’
