A WEST Devon actress has been busy narrating a well-known novel on the popular BBC Radio 4 programme ?Book at Bedtime?. Jenny Killingbeck, aka Jenny Coverack, is a professional actress, who has acted in many radio programmes as well having performed in films. Jenny, from Horsebridge, has performed for Radio 4 a few times and she was delighted when she got the opportunity to read ?Burning Bright? by Tracy Chevalier, the author of the popular book ?Girl with a Pearl Earring?. The programme has been played for the past week on the Radio 4?s evening programme from Monday to Friday at 10.45pm, with Viv Beeby as the presenter. The sections last for 15 minutes each and the last two editions are tonight (Thursday) and tomorrow. The novel took two days to record in Bristol ? one of Radio 4?s studios. Jenny said: ?It was great fun to do and I had a great time playing lots of characters ? although it was challenging.? The most recent challenge for Jenny, who attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School between 1997 and 1999, is being the narrator for a film on Ethiopia, produced by Atacama Ltd and commissioned by the World Bank.
