THE Hatherleigh Fun Run takes place this weekend, encouraging everyone to dig out their trainers.

Organised by Hatherleigh Youth Club, there are age classes for under fives, five to seven year olds, eight to ten year olds, eleven to 14 year olds, and over 15s. Registration starts in the square at 5.30pm on Friday September 7 for registration at 6pm.

Entry costs £1 each with a certificate for each runner and medals for race winners.

Barbecue and refreshments will be available throughout the evening.
