TAVISTOCK Town Council was this week due to co-opt a new member to fill the vacant seat for the town's North ward.

Six people had applied for the vacancy — they were Ashley Tossell, Gareth Dempster, George Hunter, Caroline Keane, Mark Prebble and Jeffrey Stackhouse.
