DARTMOOR National Park Authority has proposed a diversion to a Lydford bridleway.

Bridleway 43, Lydford, currently passes through an enclosed garden, attached to the property known as Highdown, and is thus obstructed where the path enters and exits the garden.

The owner of Highdown has applied to divert the route onto land that is generally used by the public. The proposed diversion will move the path on to land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall, which has given its consent to the scheme.

The matter will be discussed at the authority?s annual meeting, which is being held on Friday July 4, in the meeting room at Parke, Bovey Tracey.
