THE fire service received numerous calls reporting a car on its roof and smoking after a collision on the A30 between Sourton and Stowford Cross on Sunday afternoon.

Two crews from Okehampton and a crew from Hatherleigh were sent to the incident and confirmed a road traffic incident involving one car, which had left the carriageway.

Fire crews gave first aid to four casualties.
