KELLY College students shone in their latest LAMDA examinations with a number of students earning high honours. In total, students sat more than 100 exams which resulted in 57 merits and 30 distinctions.
Among the high marks were Jessica Peak and Ellie Sellers who scored 87 in grade three mime. Ted Jenks and Richard Bennett also scored highly in this category with scores of 85. Ellie Partington and Lizzie Duncan also scored high scores of 87, but in the grade seven mime category.
Some strong performances were also evident in the acting and public speaking categories. In acting, Selwin Hulme-Teague scored 86 at grade four. Will Bennett and Louisa Butcher excelled in the public speaking category with scores of 87 and 90 respectively.
In addition to a collection of high scores, students also performed at the highest grades. In total, 13 students performed at grade eight across the mime, acting and public speaking categories. Furthering this achievement, Olivia Hampden-Smith, Katy Collingwood and Harriet Sylvester were all awarded distinctions at this level.
