I AM writing to bring to your attention the state of Whitchurch Down. This is one of our town's biggest assets and it is being let to go to rack and ruin.
The first thing I would like to point out is the state that South West Water leave the ground in after they have repaired leaks, which is an ongoing problem. They should reinstate the ground and turf properly.
The second thing is the state of the ground which have been turned up by parking cars on the roadside going towards the Princetown road.
Would it not be an idea to make a car park there to restrict how far the cars go on the moor?
Maybe the police could do something about this. I am sure there is a law covering how far you can drive and park on the moor.
