l This year people in West Devon can put their Christmas trees out with their garden waste. Or, why not buy a living tree that can be planted in the garden after festivities.
l Although the council is unable to take wrapping paper in recycling boxes you can still put Christmas cards and envelopes out for collection.
l Do recycle batteries, spectacles, mobile phones, textiles and plastic bottles with the paper, card, cans and glass.
l To recycle glass jars/bottles give them a rinse in your leftover dish washing water and place them in the green box. These can also be taken to one of the many banks around the borough.
