MASTERCHEF Peter Gorton and his team at Gorton's restaurant in Tavistock have donated more than £1,000 to the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust.

Lunchtime diners at the 26-seat restaurant gave donations to Hannahs from mid January to mid February.

Peter launched Gorton's last year and has also been in much demand as a consultant travelling around the country troubleshooting in restaurant and hotel kitchens. He has become involved in Hannahs at Seale-Hayne, near Newton Abbot, establishing the catering and overseeing the launch of the Blackboard Bistro.

Peter said: 'I would like to say a big thank you to the people who took part and supported Hannahs.

'I am keen to raise the profile of Hannahs and to support the trust in any way I can.'

The trust specialises in delivering therapy and medical services, education and care for children, young people and young adults with physical and/or learning disabilities.
