Plymstock U13s 0 Tavistock U13s 49 THIS was a devastating display by Tavistock whose recent outings in sevens tournaments was in evidence. Though Plymstock retained much possession of the ball they never really threatened the Tavistock line, and it was the away side who launched an attack that resulted in the opening try by Dawe after seven minutes. At the end of the half Burdfield ran in two tries, both helped by good handling along the backs. As the second half progressed Tavistock became ever more dominant, winning ball in all phases of play and using it to great effect. Resistance finally crumbled and four tries were scored during the closing quarter, two apiece for Burdfield and Coker. It was the efforts of the non-scorers who really helped make the day, winning the ball in the set pieces and moving the ball deftly in open play. Longden had a great day with his boot making all seven conversions as well as two good field kicks.
